It looks like a new set of OWI/DUI laws will be coming into effect shortly, whereby a fourth offense would become a felony, if the prior conviction was within the past 5 years. Also, an interlock ignition device would be required, if the BAC was above .15, for a second offense. And, a first offense would become a criminal act, if there was a person 16 or under in the vehicle.
